Here's a little bit about me!

Hi there, I'm Donna Inch and I have been lucky enough to officiate for couples since 2011.  I live in beautiful Taupo with my lovely husband, Blaine and our two gorgeous children, Charlotte (nearly 3) and Nathan (15 months).

Along with my husband, I am the owner/operator of Eventrent; a wedding and event hire, design and decoration company.  Prior to that I was the Event Manager at Hilton Lake Taupo.  So, I have spent most of my working career in weddings and events, and I absolutely love this industry.    Its fun, varied and exciting, and it really is such a buzz to be involved in a couples wedding day.  It is by far one of the most memorable  and special days of their lives, and it is a real privilege to be chosen to play a part in that celebration.

If I manage some spare time in between being a Wife, a Mum, a Marriage Celebrant and a Business Owner,  I love to snowboard, play on the great lake, try my hand at photography, cook (and eat!) delicious food and drink (plenty of) good wine.

So what type of ceremony do I deliver?  I am all for modern, fun, relaxed and personalised.  Often guests will ask me after a ceremony how long have I known the couple.  In most cases, it is only since they booked me to be their celebrant.  Guests are often surprised at this, and say that it sounded like I was a close friend and had known them for a long time.  This is music to my ears!  As it means I have delivered a personal ceremony that suited them as a couple.  Success!

In my aim to provide personalised ceremonies, with most of my packages, I tailor the ceremony to the couple, and give them a lot of involvement in the wording that is used.  After all its your ceremony - not mine, so I will deliver it in a way that suits you two best.   However, there are a couple of things that never change; I hold the ceremony in highest regard - it is the formal part of the day, and it is where all the promises are made - so I always deliver my ceremony with a certain amount of formality.   However,  at the same time I ensure I deliver it in a relaxed, fun and modern way.     I aim to get the occasional laugh from your guests, and I always aim to put you, the bride and groom at ease.   There is a huge build up to the ceremony; lots of emotion and excitement.   I embrace all of that with you, but I also help you to breathe, relax (as much as possible), and enjoy every minute of your wedding ceremony.
